Hi All,

Am home today after taking one of my cats to the vet. She has suddenly become badly dehydrated and her temperature is falling. She is only 5 years old or so and would be a great loss to me if she doesn’t make it.

All prayers and thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

Praying Glenn.

Having lost two pets in the last year, I know how it feels. Animals are a part of our family.

Hi Glenn,

I also have a soft spot in my heart for cats, having grown up with them in my family and even having one live to 18 years of age. I will remember you and your cat in my prayers.

Oh good!

I had two cats dumped on me and in some mysterious manner they have cloned themselves into seven cats.

Give me your mailing address and I’ll ship them to you.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayer everyone. Tragically, my girl passed away around midnight last night. Although the loss of any of my six (now five) cats would have been terrible, I was particularly attached to her.

Glenn, I am very sorry to hear the bad news. The loss of any family member (pets included) is tragic.

Glenn, I am so sorry about your cat.  Any animal is like a member of the family.
I took care of my son’s cat for 7 years.  He was put to sleep last thanksgiving.  I never thought I would miss him as much as I do.  I sent him to live with my son when I moved to NV.  My son was in Texas and the USAF has moved him to Arkansas.  That is where Fang got sick and had to be put to sleep.  I could tell all kinds of stories about that cat.
My favorite one is about him sleeping in my son’s old bedroom in VA when my son was sent overseas from Texas.  My son was overseas 3 times, for 3 months, while I was in VA.  During those 3 months, Fang wanted to sleep in my son’s bedroom every night he was in the house.  When my son came home to the US, in Texas, Fang quit sleeping in his old bedroom.  Don’t know where/who he knew my son left and returned, but he did.  He was an amazing cat.  He thought he was a person.

Thanks, Diana,

I also had a cat that used to follow me all over but that, like Fang, after I moved away to grad school, wouldn’t go into my old bedroom.
