Diana, you are right. Our God is awesome, and I know He will guide and direct you into what He wants you to do. Keep us posted.
This has been a very difficult week. In addition to a 75 hour work week, Marti was hospitalized at the same hospital that I was taking care of patients in, so it made it convenient as I was able to visit her frequently.
Marti has had several significant setbacks. She still remains in good spirits. She goes back to stroke rehab at Long Beach on Monday, assuming she remains stable.
But unless God intervenes in a miraculous way to heal her physically, the prognosis doesn’t look good. But God has intervened to give her a resurrected soul, and everlasting life that is in Christ.
It is in experiences like these that God tests us, and brings us through trials, and we are confident that whatever happens with Marti, that God will work in this for His glory. It is in these experiences that I have come to realize even more than before how important doctrine is in going through this. The doctrine of God’s sovereignty means everything in a time like this. The doctrines of the Reformed faith are practical doctrines and give us the assurance that God is in control of our destinies, and is in control of all things that happen to us.
Thanks again for your prayers.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Stan
