This video effectively summarizes the classic arguments for the existence of God, produced by the Christian apologist Kenneth Samples of Reasons to Believe.  Dr. Samples’ career is connected with the Adventist church, having worked with Dr. Walter Martin during the period following the publication of Questions on Doctrine, writing an updated assessment of Adventism in 1993, and also writing the Foreward to Dale Ratzlaff’s book Cultic Doctrine of Seventh-day Adventists.

Kenneth Samples will be speaking at a conference at Andrews University in October, the conference being held in commemoration of the release of QOD 50 years ago. A couple of historic SDA’s (Larry Kirkpatrick and Russell Standish) are scheduled to attend and speak as well. Sounds like it will be a rollicking good time.

Thanks Glenn for pointing this out. I hope there will be some kind of tapes made of this presentation.

I appreciate the objectivity of Ken Samples. So often, former SDAs like myself will still react in an emotional and sometimes unobjective way with regard to Adventism.

However the Standish brothers and the “Our Firm Foundation” cult is not Christian, and I hope that Ken Samples will be able to point that out.

Anyone interested in attending the conference can register for it.

I’m a little surprised, and I think it is commendable in some fashion, that the church is commemorating the anniversary of the book’s release, because it has been so controversial in some circles (to most SDA’s QOD is a non-event). I also think is laudable that they’re holding a conference with this diversity of speakers, including those outside the SDA church.
