Stan suggested, and I agreed, that the Prayer Chain should be put here on 4TG also.
If any one has any suggestions to add to it, please put them here.  Or if you have any Bible verses about prayer, put them here also.
It is a blessing and a privilege to pray for those we love.
Diana

WEEKLY REMINDER FOR THE PRAYER CIRCLE.
TIME:
1. Every Friday at sundown in your time zone.
2. Saturday afternoon, 1 PM Pacific time, 4 PM East Coast time and whatever the time is in your time zone.

WHO DO WE PRAY FOR:
1. All SDAs from the GC down to the smallest church in the world.
2. All unchurched members. All the agnostics, atheists and unbelievers who are former SDAs.
3. All those who are coming under the influence of SDAs through such things as the SDA friends, Revelation Seminars and baptismal classes.
4. All Christians who think SDAs are just another Christian church.
5. All those writing on R/S, Spectrum, CARM and similar sites.
6. ESPECIALLY SDA children who are being exposed to The Clear Word for Kids, history of EGW at the early age of first grade and younger and other distinctive SDA doctrine that is not Biblical.
7. We pray for each other, that God will use us to teach others His love and about what Jesus did for each of us and that the Holy Spirit fill us.
8. Dirk Anderson and the hassle he is receiving from the White estate. That God will be glorified in what ever happens and that Adventism will be exposed for what they really teach.
9. Dale Ratzlaff’s project of contacting all SDA ministers in the SDA conference where he lives. Go Dale!! God be with you as well as our prayers.
10. Lurkers who are in the process of leaving the SDA church.
11. Those SDAs reading the the new SDA book(it does not deserve the title Bible) with EGW’s books intermixed with the Bible.
12. All those receiving Proclamation! magazine. That they will be convicted in their heart, mind and soul of the Bible truths and will search the Bible for themselves to know the truth of the Bible, God’s love letter to all of us.
13. Colleen and Richard Tinker and all who work with Life Assurance Ministries that God will protect them in all ways.
14. For the Spanish version of Proclamacion and the prayer circle, and forum.
15. The Danish former Adventists and forum.
16. Seventh day Adventist students in SDA boarding schools.
17.  All those posting on 4TG that God use them to teach others.

Let us pray as a family with Jesus Christ in the midst of us and the Holy Spirit taking our prayers to the Father. We could not have it any better.
He is always so AWESOME.

Thanks Diana!

Those are great prayer requests. And even if we have differences with some, it still should not separate us as Christians.

I have always wondered what would happen if more time was spent praying for our friends and family in the SDA church and praying that they will come to know the pure gospel of salvation, rather than the same amount of time spent attacking the SDA church--I just wonder what would happen.

The reason the prayer chain was suggested on FAF was to pray for all those listed.  And I said I would keep it up to date.
I would really like to have all of us pray for all our SDA friends and relatives and for us formers, as well as all those listed.  I really think we need lots more prayer for all of us, SDA and formers.  We all know that prayer works miracles.  So, I invite each person reading this to pray with us at the appointed times.
God is working and will work miracles in our lives and in the lives of those for whom we pray.
Our awesome God is answering our prayers, in His time and not ours.

Diana,

Thank-you for your hard work in preparing this prayer list.
I also will pray for all those on the list, especially for my friends at FAF. There continue to be a lot of hurting people joining and looking for Good News, and my prayer is that they may be shown the joy and freedom of the Gospel, and not get mired down in the pain of continually reliving their hurt and frustrations.

Tomorrow I am golfing with a dear Adventist friend who has many questions. I haven’t been in contact with him in a couple of years. He was on the church board that received my exit letter almost 2 years ago. He phoned me the next day and thanked me for standing up for what I believed in, and had many questions.

He called the other day and said it was time to get together for some golf.

I ask for your prayers that I might be able to answer all the questions he will have about my journey. Also, while you are at it, mention that a couple of birdies would be nice as well!!

Blessings to you all, and you are all in my prayers.

Randy

Ps...Greg, again thank-you for this site, and I hope your Boards all went well

Great to see you again Randy, and may you be able to glorify God with your golf swing! And seriously, we will pray for your SDA golfing partner. Do you think he will listen to more of what you have to say if you lose the golf match? (smiley)

Randy,
I have prayed for you and your friend and will continue to pray for the both of you.
Not knowing anything about golf, who would those birdies be for-you or your friend??
God will give you the words to say tomorrow.  Just pray before you see him and while you are talking and playing golf with him.
Our awesome God is with you.

Diana, thank you for starting this thread.  I will add my voices to the list who will petition the Father with these prayer requests.  It is my sincere hope that everyone will see the glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ and will see the surpassing joy that results from the forgiveness of sins and our union with him.  As Stan said, despite differences with some on the list of prayer requests, I remain committed to standing next to my brothers and sisters in the body of Christ.

Randy, thanks for your very kind words and my prayers will be with you tonight and tomorrow.

Thank-you friends for your prayers.

Diana, the way my game has been of late. Most folks would surmise that I know very little about golf as well.

And believe me when I say, that either of us getting a couple of birdies tommorow would more likely be the result of divine intervention, than merit on our parts.

Sort of like salvation I guess.

A little golf humor for you golfers out there.....last week our tee time got cancelled by a lightning and thunder storm. One of the fellows asked if anybody had a 1-iron in their bag. He suggested we hold it up above our heads, as he had heard that even God can’t hit a 1-iron. (sorry)

FORE the gospel,

Randy

If any of you have suggestions of those to pray for, please let me know here.  Also any Bible verses about prayer we can use.  I would like to have some here each week.
Randy, I know a little more about golf than I let on.  I was just trying to tease you a little.
Thanks for all your support for the prayer circle.  It is so important that we pray not only for others, but for ourselves as well.
God bless each of you.

Dear Prayer Chain friends,

Thank-you for your prayers regarding my sharing with my golf buddy today. It was nice to be able to share God’s grace and to share our journeys.

Although no birdies were to be had, at least there were some legitimate chances.

Besides the visit during the game we sat and discussed for 2 and a half hours over an extended lunch. Being an able thinker, and a person who is curious, he was happy to read the copy of Greg Taylor’s book I brought for him. Discussing it will serve as grounds for another round of golf.

And for those of you wondering just how does this guy get to take Monday off to play golf, I have to say that this is my ONE week of holidays this summer!!

Tomorrow I play with 3 more of my Adventist buddies. They have come to accept my journey, as I have theirs. We are able to share our common brotherhood in Christ while sharing the game that one has aptly called, “A Good Walk Spoiled”.

Thanks again for your ongoing prayers for the “fairway fellowship”,

Randy

Randy,

Thanks for giving us an update on your friendly (fearsome?) fairway fellowship.  It is good to know that you have found fellow brothers in Christ with which to share your faith and your journey.

I’d also like to praise God for some news I received today–I passed my board examinations!  Many of you know the time I put into preparing for these exams, and it is with relief that I can say this part is forever behind me (an oral exam remains next year).  It is only by the mercy of God that I have made it this far–may His name forever be praised!

Congradulations Greg, this is terrific news.

Somehow I am not surprised though.

It will be great having you out this way. God is good, and you will be a blessing to your patients, not only by your now certified skills, but also on a spiritual level as well.

May God continue to bless you, and your ministry to body and soul.

Now go take your wife out to dinner, and play with your kids!!

Greg, A big congratulations on passing your boards.  I am very happy for you.  That must be a big relief.

Randy, it sounds like the fairway fearsome foursome are good friends and I am glad God is using you as you play golf.
It is so good to tell God thank you for all these blessings.  He is so awesome.

An answer to prayer for some one who was studying with a retired SDA minister and started going to church on Saturday.
On the prayer thread I asked for prayer for a friend who was thinking about keeping the 7th day as the sabbath.  she comes from a Catholic background and does not know much about the Bible.  She started going to a Bible study near her run by a retired SDA minister(I just found that out today).  Another friend told me about her and I prayed.  God did not tell me to call her or get involved.  Today I saw her at my 12 step meeting.  I mentioned something about the church I quit attending, she asked which one, I told her and her response was that is the one I attend on Saturday morning.
She and I with some other friends went to lunch together.  All of them asked me questions about adventism and God gave me the answers.  One of the friends is a female minister in another church.  She was getting my friend literature written my former adventists.
So, lots of people were informed of what SDAs believe and teach.  My friend probably will not go back to the SDA church.  I will be in contact with her again, as I am going to a Celebrate Recovery symposium the rest of this week at a church near Laguna Beach.  I will be back on Saturday.  My friend has expressed an interest of attending my church sometime when I return.  Keep praying for her and thanks for all the prayers said in her behalf.
God is always so awesome in what He does.
