It is not “a favorable position” towards me or any other Adventist, the stated purposes and practices of this web site show otherwise.

Lets see what? I don’t believe I’m in one of the churches of Babylon, since the true gospel of justification by faith alone is preached in them. I see no biblical reason to return to the SDA fold, since the gospel of reformation has interdiction in it. With Desmond Ford’s defrocking, the hope for a change in the SDA theology vanished.  Gabriel

Unless you have a different Bible than me; there is lots to “see” in the text I was referring to - Rev 15:3

My concern in that comment “lets see” has nothing to do with you leaving your Church, joing mine, or anything in between...I am not worried about you leaving the Adventist Church, I couldn’t care less about getting you to leave whatever one you are in. As I have said from the beginning, my concern here are the falsehoods being spread around about Adventists and their beliefs.  What you do with it all is entirely up to you.

Now the reason I had referenced to Rev 15:3 when we were talking about this web site, was I wanted to compare the two. But; I guess that is asking too much.

The song found here is a song of praise, giving all glory to God

Great and amazing are your deeds,

O Lord God the Almighty!

Just and true are your ways,

O King of the nations!

The reformers were adamant in giving all the glory to God. His salvation is all of grace, sola gratia, by grace alone, from start to finish. Consequently God gets all the glory for Himself as far as our salvation is concerned. No glory is attributed to man. Man is powerless, God is Almighty. We will sing this song when we will be in glory, blessed be the Lord. Amen.

”We will sing this song when we will be in glory;” yes!  Amen!  We agree on something.  Now, my first question is why cannot we sing this song now?  Why isn’t this “song” anywhere on this website? Why isn’t this “song” a part of the good news that you “give” to Adventists?

First because the good news is about Christ Jesus and his finished work on the cross for us. The gospel “of God” “concerning his Son (Rom. 1:2,3) and his work in our behalf consisting in his life, death for our sins and his resurrection (1 Cor. 15:1-4). The praise found in Revelation 15 is what people do when they understand and grasp the truth of the gospel, not when they find trouble in accepting it. That’s why we cannot give adventists a false hope by telling them to rejoice in the gospel they profess to believe because this gospel does not constitute a right basis for singing the song found in Revelation 15. There is a logical order: renounce the false gospel and embrace the true gospel, next you’ll have all the motivations to rejoice. And it is important not to confuse the results of the gospel with the gospel itself. The gospel is not about us or even our praise to God for his deeds, it’s exclusively the message of good news about Jesus and his finished atonement on the cross for us. As long as the process of atonement is unfinished and we don’t know how our life will end, and where, we have no reasons to rejoice today when we know that tomorrow we may cry because we haven’’t passed the test that God put in our way in order to shake us. That’s the gospel of adventism and we know very well that it’s a shaky basis for rejoicing, so to speak; if we are to to use a biblical term, it’s based on the sand.
