While listening to an excellent radio show from the ministry of http://www.apologetics.com a largely Reformed group of apologists who have a late night radio show every Friday night were discussiong Bible translations. While the ESV was held as the most highly regarded version, a close second is a brand new English translation called The New English Translation or NET and you can find out more at this link:

They have a version of the Bible to read from a smartphone that is large print. This is a very readable translation, and from what I understand, a very good translation.  Go to the Home site of the link above and you will discover some wonderful internet resources for Bible study.

Thanks for the link, Stan.  I’ll have to check that out.  I like what I’ve read of the ESV, so far.  I’m thinking of getting a Reformation Study Bible from Ligonier in the ESV but I’ll check into this NET.
