Universalism, which was taught by some early church fathers, is now making a big comeback in the person of Rob Bell.

Is that a veiled accusation? That I am promoting universalism?

If that was your intent, you are merely bearing more false witness.

I am very much a promoter of not running ahead, not adding to the flawless word, not going beyond what is written, in fact, not adding to or deleting from Revelation!

Does that anger you a little?

Is the body of Christ really any cult that claims they are His body? I do not accept that.

Here is a good example of a group claiming to belong to Jesus. Will we believe their claims just because it dropped out of their little anti-christ mouths?

“Is Jehovah going to do an unbelievable “work” in our day? Be assured that He will, even though that seems unbelievable to doubters. This time, Jehovah’s unbelievable work will be the destruction of Christendom.” WatchTower, 2/1/2000, page 13

Did Christ die for Adam? Yes. Did He thus die for all sins attributed to Adam? Yes. Are we all the result of Adams sin and thus he is accountable for us? Yes.

Did Christ die (in God’s eternal plan and purpose) before the world was formed? Yes.  Was Adam automatically saved because Christ paid for his sins before he was born? No. How was he then saved? BY FAITH IN CHRIST ALONE AFTER hearing the Gospel from God Himself.

Did Christ die for all sins of all men? Yes, otherwise it would be misrepresenting God to tell the Gospel to the whole world as Christ instructed us to do.

What sin has Christ NOT paid for? The sin of rejecting Him and His gospel.

Conclusion; Sinners go to Hell for refusing to believe in Christ. All the other sins they have committed can only be removed by the blood of Jesus. Their own blood is payment for one sin; rejection of Christ. Only in this way can God’s justice be satisfied.

I think that can be scripturally refined a bit.

Non-elect are punished for refusing. Jesus did say “without me you can do nothing”.

And Jesus did say He gave life to whom He pleases: “the Son gives life to whom He is pleased to give it.”—John 5

And some are destined to unbelief: “They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.” 1Peter 2

The elect come under this:

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ—2Cor 1

To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault—Jude 24

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus—Philip 1
